With the inevitable thrashing of San Marino on Friday, the next real challenge for Roy Hodgson’s men is a tricky away game against Poland on Tuesday. England will be relieved to hear that the Poland skipper Jakub Błaszczykowski who could have been a worry with his blistering pace, will not be featuring in the game due to an ankle problem. But there is still a hidden weapon that lies under the Polish armour, Robert Lewandowski.
At 24 years old and with 17.5 Million pound price tag strapped to him, Lewandowski is certainly one to watch. He is the top international goal scorer in Poland’s squad with 15 goals in 48 games. His most recent goal came in Euro 2012 when Poland drew to Greece 1-1 in Warsaw. He was named Bundesliga 2011-12 player of the year and 2011 Polish player of the year as well.
