Arsene Wenger isn’t ready for contract negotiations just yet, but has dismissed the possibility of walking away once his remaining two years are up. Is he set to follow his star players out of the Emirates Door?
Wenger has claimed he is an Arsenal man. But we’ve heard it all before, players reiterating their love for the club only to move on and kiss another badge. Arsene has managed The Gunners for 16 years now; does he need a new challenge?
If Arsene wanted to stay, I think he would have signed by now – why the delay? Maybe he’s regretting not taking the job of the French National team or the PSG job where money is no object.
Some Arsenal fans wouldn’t be that sad to see the back of the Frenchman. The last trophy his team lifted was the FA Cup way back in 2005. Does he deserve a new contract?
Yes. He’s had to watch his best players leave year after year yet still finishes in those all important Champions League spots – that’s no mean feat under the circumstances.
Arsene has bought well with the money he’s received from the players departed; they look more like a team this season with no RVP to rely on. It’s early days yet but the introduction of Steve Bould to the coaching team seems to have sorted out their defensive fragilities too.
Is there one final swansong before Arsene waves goodbye?
