It was a bad day at the office with the tips going wrong left right and centre.
The odds on shout never got going with as Mjallby failed to beat a poor Norrkoping side at home. Another home team, Legia Warsaw suffered a defeat and FC Twente had their unbeaten run disrupted by Roda even though Twente scored first. It was only Charlton who ran out 2-0 victors against an Exeter side who have really started the season poorly. That’s a few times now Charlton have come good but that means the price will continue to get shorter as the season progresses.
The odds against shout was more successful but only slightly. Playing it in doubles, I managed to get the majority of my stake back and it highlights the value of playing this type of bet when betting on high odds. Napoli got off to a winning start and Ajax went to the top of the league with a win which involved goals again. I’ll be looking to play the handicap on Ajax whenever they play as they can’t seem to stop scoring. PAOK lost their Ergotelis.
The last bet is a new one I’ll be playing over the next couple of weeks. Man City are still being priced to high and the traders will clock on to this soon. Real Madrid just failed to get the -2 at home against Getafe, but possibly the most confusing result was the -1 handicap bet on Barcelona. After 15 minutes Barcalona were two to the good and it seemed a formality, but Real Sociedad had other ideas as they some how managed to find two goals of their own to get a draw. I still have confidence in this bet and will analyse it in weeks to come.
