Football Betting Preview – Charlton vs Sheffield Wednesday

There are even less games taking place today than there have been in recent days due to the International break. Only one game stands out for me and it’s in the English League One.

Charlton vs Sheffield Wednesday

Charlton have made an impressive start to the new season under former Addicks player Chris Powell’s guidence. They remain unbeaten with four wins and a draw – they’ve also found the back of the net 11 times in those five games. This is their first game without first choice keeper Rob Elliot who sealed a move to Premiership outfit Newcastle. Striker Bradley Wright-Phillips is a doubt for the game, but Charlton sneaked a win against Bury in their last game without him and should score against Sheffield Wednesday.  Sheffield Wednesday sit mid table after a decent start. However, they have lost both of their away games so far and scored only one goal. One of those away games included a defeat to a poor Bournemouth side. Chris Powell suggests his team will be fired up to put on a good performance as it’s being covered live on TV and I fully expect Charlton to win at 1.91.
